This study conducted a survey of 176 Chinese student attending the dance department with the aim of analyzing how Chinese students' motivation to choose their major affects their major satisfaction, major immersion, and career decisions. The following conclusions were drawn by conducting frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. First, males were more confident and purposeful than females, the lower age, the environmental motivation, major immersion, and career decision. Second, the motivation for choosing a major has a static effect on all sub-variants of major satisfaction and major satisfaction. Third, personal motivation has a significant static effect on immersion in learning tasks, subvariants of major immersion, and integration into learning processes, and environmental motivation has a significant static effect on learning tasks. Fourth, it has been shown that personal motivation has a significant static effect on the reliability and readiness of the sub-factors of career decisions, and that social motivation has a significant static effect on purpose. Fifth, looking at the causal relationship between major selection motivation, major satisfaction, major immersion, and career decision, it was found that major satisfaction and major immersion had a partial mediating effect between major selection motivation and career decision.
