- K-POP댄스 안무가들의 안무창작 방법에 관한 경험적 특징 -
본 연구는 K-POP댄스를 창작하는 안무가들의 창작과정과 경험적 특징을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목 적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구에서는 현재 K-POP댄스 안무가로 활동 중인 연구 참여자 4명을 선정하여 심층면 담을 진행하였다. 이를 통해 안무창작 과정과 경험에 대하여 크게 두 가지 관점으로 귀결됨을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 공통적으로 TV방송을 통해 춤을 접하고 입문하게 되었으며, 이후 댄스팀 결성과 댄스트 레이너로 활동 중 아티스트들에게 춤을 가르치게 되면서 점차 안무가와 강사로서 복합적인 역할을 담당하는 과정을 확인해 볼 수 있었다. 둘째, 연구 참여자들은 기획사로부터 안무의뢰를 받게 되면 전략적 창작 방법으 로 가장 먼저 음악에 대한 ‘청각적 관찰’을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 반복적으로 음악 들으면서 곡의 분위기나 멜 로디 가사 등을 효과적이고 독창적으로 구현해 보고자 모티브가 될 수 있는 다양한 자료를 활용함으로써 안무 창작 과정을 이해할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 안무자의 성향에 따라 은둔창작방법과, 협업창작방법으로 나뉘어져 안무를 창작하고 있으며, 창작된 안무를 시현하기 위해 주변 동료들과의 지속적인 소통을 통해 안무를 수정해 가면서 창작해 가는 과정을 알아볼 수 있었다. 이러한 창작과정을 거치면서 연구 참여자들은 공통적으로 창작 된 안무가 실현하는 것에 대한 성취감과 자부심을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이번 연구를 통해 작 게나마 K-POP댄스에 대한 학문적 담론을 형성하고 무용장르로서의 확장에 기여할 것으로 기대해 본다.
Empirical features on Creation Method of K-POP Dance Choreographers
This study is aimed to figure out process of creation and experiential features of choreographers who create K-POP dance. In order to accomplish these purposes, 4 research participants who work as a current K-POP choreographer were interviewed. Two points of view on the process and experience of choreograph have been concluded. Frist, the research participants encountered dance with TV broadcast in common, and after forming of dance team of their own and working as a dance trainer who teaches artists dance, their complex roles of both choreographer and instructor had been started. Second, as the research participants were requested to create choreograph by a management company, auditory observation was preceded as strategical creative methods. A variety of motivated sources from moods or lyrics of a song which were used to express effectively and originatively through listening the music repetitively, were verified to comprehend the process to create choreograph. Finally, according to a choreographer’s tendency, a choreograph was proceeded with either reclusive creation method or collaborative creation method. And a process was created and modified through continuous communications with colleagues for demonstration of original choreograph. By going through these processes, a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem of being realizing original choreograph were showed by research participants. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to the formation of an academic discourse on K-POP dance and its spread to the dance genre.
